JNF Web Design - Holliston, MA

What is the Web Design process?

The first step is to discuss your business or service so that we may better understand your needs and goals. During this conversation we will discuss the main purpose for your web site and what you hope to accomplish by opening up a web site. Are you selling a product or a service, maybe the site is simply informational. If you own a restaurant then you will want to have your menu accessible, or perhaps accept take-out orders or reservations on-line. The possibilities are endless, so determining the scope is first and foremost.

The next part of the process can be as hands on or hands off as you would like. We realize being a business owner is quite demanding and time consuming, if you prefer, we can design the site with limited input. If you would rather work closely with us then we will provide you with a worksheet to aide in the process. This worksheet contains various questions regarding the layout of the site as well as content. For example, what should be featured on the main page, how many pages will be needed, have you already obtained the domain name, determined site colors, font types etc.

Do I need to provide you with pictures in electronic format?

If you have pictures of your products, logo or other items in electronic format that would be helpful. The more items you can provide us up front the faster the process will be. We can always take digital pictures for you or scan paper items if you do not have the means to do so.

I have heard of Flash but what is it?

Flash technology provides web developers with the ability to add animation and interactivity to web pages. Flash is commonly used to create animation, advertisements and other various web-page components.
